FED:Priority is for the living: police
MELBOURNE, Feb 23 AAP - The are bodies in the rubble of Christchurch's flattened central
business district but the priority must be for the living, says a senior New Zealand policeman.
Superintendent David Cliff says police are systematically making their way through
the rubble looking for survivors.
"There are still people trapped in the rubble who are texting loved ones and keeping
us informed," Supt Cliff told the Nine Network.
He said the pancaked CTV building was of particular concern, with many people still
trapped in there.
